unsigned early Myriam Haskell by Frank Hess glass flowers wreath brooch from the early 1940's, possibly late 1930's.
The multicolored pressed glass flowers are hand threaded through the scalloped edge gold tone pierced back plate. The stitching is precise and neatly done. Each flower has a glass seed bead in its center. Frank Hess was known for this style and craftmanship.
The flowers have bright colors: yellow, red, light blue, pink, green and blue. The glass flowers are probably Czech.
Removable paper tags were the only signature until the late 1940s.
excellent vintage condition.
